We are approaching the single figure countdown...but for now I just wanted to run through my holiday essentials and today's Boots haul.
As you can see I bought a hefty amount (as well as an additional deodorant and 2 more packs of face wipes not pictured!) It totaled at £52.40 and I actually saved a whopping £14 through offers - I will add that this wasn't actually on purpose. I also chucked in some wet wipes because you never know when your going to need them!
At the top of the list is Shampoo, Conditioner and Shower Gel.
At home I have salon sized shampoo and conditioner so obviously this isn't going to fit in my suitcase. I'm not a fan of the little plastic bottles you can put stuff in as you always have left over at the bottom so I always buy travel sized so I can cut them if needed.
I've gone for Charles Worthington Moisture Seal Shampoo and Conditioner to add some moisture to my sea and sand soaked hair and a mini Lemon Original Source Shower Gel.
I'm a lover of supersized products - My hairspray and deodorant are no exception to this and again, aren't really practical to stuff in my suitcase. I found a travel sized TRESemme Salon Hold Hairspray - I really like TRESemme and have used it for probably about 10 years! It holds without giving you crunchy hair. I don't really plan on using hair spray that often but it will come in handy for nights out.
I also picked up a Dove Go Fresh in the "compressed size". I'm quite sweaty (TMI?) and Dove is about the only thing that slightly helps.
I've added in some Batiste Dry Shampoo in Blush for the days when we want to be a bit more active but doesn't warrant hair washing.
You can never have enough storage in your luggage! I am really conscious of shampoo or foundation popping open whilst flying and creating a massacre of goey mess when I open my suitcase. So this is how I avoid it. The smallest of bags is also perfect for keeping your in/after flight beauty products and is fine to pop in your hand luggage (them pesky UK laws!)
I've never actually used waxing strips in my holiday prep before but in the fashion of trying to save money I thought I would give it a go. I occasionally use the Smooth Care Facial Wax Strips for my tash and for Kieran's eye brows (because it takes me years to pluck them!) and I find they do the job well so I decided to try the Smooth Care Bikini and Underarm Wax Strips. I will be chucking my razor in as well but only for emergency's.
My mini medicine kit - Paracetamol for hangovers. Hayfever tablets for my prickly heat. Indigestion...well you know, just in case. I've also got a full pack of plasters because flip flops are not my friend.
Lastly, we have a few added extra's that aren't really essential but I wanted for holiday (and after) - Beach Blonde Sea Waves Salt Spray for that mussed up beachy look. This is only the mini version but they do have a full sized also. It smells really summery.
I bought Rimmel Colour Rush Balm in Give me a Cuddle for a pop of colour in the day, although I've now realized that it doesn't contain SPF as I originally thought the shade is still lovely and it smells like marshmallows.
I was looking for a high street alternative to the MAC blush I had my eye on and after mooching about in the make up isle in Boots for half an hour I found this. Bourjois Little Round Pot Blush in 33 Lilas D'or - the colour isn't as dark as it looks in the pot but is still full of colour.
As you may or may not of seen, I have ombre hair. With all the sun, sea and chlorine I'm going to be lapping up my ombre hair is going to need a little TLC when I get back. After combing through the internet to try and find the perfect purple shampoo I decided to go with Pro:voke Touch of Silver - Review to come mid-September.
So my toiletries are pretty much sorted and only 2 WEEKS TO GO!!!
If you would like any information of any of the products, drop me a comment and I will reply.
Now that is quite a haul. Look at all that loot. Batiste Dry Shampoo is a must have. :]
