MAC SPLURGE: STUDIO TECH FOUNDATION & SELECT MOISTURECOVER CONCEALER

Every now and again it's always nice to have a cheeky splurge on some new make up! So as soon as I started having to scrape my foundation out of the bottle I was straight out the door and heading for MAC for my foundation fix! I also picked up a little something extra and came home with MAC Studio Tech Foundation and MAC Moisturecover Concealer.

ROAD TO RECOVERY: WEEK 1

After reaching a pretty low point in my illness I decided to record my attempt at recovery - you can read my first post here if you missed it. It may not be exciting but this is just for me. This is my corner of the Internet and my rules. Last week I started my medication and my first week of being signed off from work. I've tried to be as honest as possible...you never know there might be someone reading that feels the same and my posts might actually make a difference.

ROAD TO RECOVERY: GETTING A HANDLE ON MY ILLNESS

I'll just jump in and say I've been having a tough time lately with my anxiety and depression. I've suffered on and off for 8 years with this illness and after thinking I had finally gained control it reared its ugly head and came back bigger and badder. My illness was basically A! I'm surprised it doesn't text me saying "kisses D&A" after every down day. After a few months of wallowing - ok, 6 months but who's counting...- I've decided enough is enough and have decided to do something about it. I also wanted to record it all, so I can look back and see how far I've come. This may not be everyone's cup of tea and it's not going to be all sweetness and light but you never know...it might help someone else too.

JESS'S SIMPLE JAM TARTS

As I'm trying to take on a little bit more of a healthy eating routine I decided to ban all chocolate from the house - honestly no idea what I was thinking!? - and after realising that I needed something sweet I turned to the quickest and easiest sweet treat - Jam Tarts! They don't have to be pretty or perfect like cupcakes, they just have to taste scrummy!

HONESTY HOUR: REVISED

I originally wrote this last week during an early morning, sleepless "moment" but removed it later that day. It just wasn't what I wanted my opinion on how I feel to sound like and when I was out of my "moment" I just cringed at how it sounded.
