It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas here in Sheffield and to celebrate The Bodyshop at the Meadowhall shopping centre invited us local bloggers to come and have a mooch about.
Christmas is my favourite time of year - My family and friends like to refer to me as "Elf" because as soon as November hits I am all things Christmassy - and I love nothing better than to nose around at the Christmas-ness of shops! So as you can imagine, I was pretty much in my element!
The ladies at The Bodyshop Meadowhall had spared no expense in "decking the halls". The store was laid out beautifully with festive goodies collected in every crevice.
This was my first blogger event and I was so excited. We had some festive nibbles, a glittery make up demo and the ladies at the Bodyshop were absolute gems.
On arrival we were welcomed with an array of drinks including a lovely gingerbread lemonade. We were then able to have a little look around the store and get to know the other bloggers there.
We were then ushered aside for a Christmas party make up tutorial with some fabulous products. These included the Lip & Cheek Stain, the Radiant Highlighter and the Matte Kajal liners in Black and White.
My favourites from the tutorial were the Grooving Gold Eyeshadow Palette - This was used across the eyes and I really loved the purple hues mixed with the gold shade - and The Sparkler - A glitter mist for your body and hair. The 20's style perfume bottle design is classic and the sweet marshmallow smell is heaven!
After the tutorial we were then handed our little wooden baskets and left to our own devices to swatch, spray and sniff everything in the store and pick out all the products we wanted. The Bodyshop provided us with a fabulous 40% off discount and I took full advantage of this.
I especially loved the little critter bath sponges and the Frosted Cranberry range.
I also couldn't resist getting my hands on one of The Bodyshop's Beauty Advent Calendar. The fabulous box contains over £90 worth of goodies including miniatures of their lotions, potions and accessories.
After a few hours of parousing I checked out my items - haul post coming soon! - and also received a little goody bag containing a handful of samples, a bear bath sponge and a full sized apple shower gel.
Have you checked out The Bodyshop's Christmas collection?
