Instead of ordering online like I usually do, I decided to pop into my local Clinique bar and have a proper consultation - you know, stop being a hermit and actually speak to real life people!
I previously bought the Anti Blemish Solutions due to a greasy SPF 50 sun cream breakout in the summer but I thought my winter skin might need something a little more intensive.
The lovely lady at the Clinique counter took me over to their iPad and went through the questionnaire to determine the products I needed for my skin type and problem areas. She paired me up with a whole bunch of products from clarifying lotions to moisturising night masks but as this was just before Christmas I just went with the products I needed - although I might go back in January!
I chose the below products:
Mild Liquid Facial Soap - Cleanses and preps skin for exfoliation.
The soap is easily lathered on the skins or in your hands and make your skin feel squeaky clean.
Clarifying Lotion 2 - Gently exfoliates to reveal clearer skin.
This cleansing liquid leaves your skin feeling fresh and rejuvenated.
Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+ - Helps strengthen skins own moisture barrier and makes skin feel soft and springy with a healthy glow.
Combats tight and flakey skin, leave to dry for 5 minutes and you have a great base for primer and make up.
The products themselves are really well packaged - obviously, it is Clinique! - and at around £20 each you get a LOT of product for your money! I've been using these products for the last week or so and definitely noticed a decrease in flakeyness.
I also pair this facial combo with the Garnier Express 2 in 1 Eye Make up Remover. This is one of the best eye make up remover's I have used and definitely surpasses the Miscellar Water for attacking waterproof mascara.
You can diagnose your own skin by follow the link here and clicking 3-Step and then Skin Diagnostic.
What's in your skincare regime? Is your new years resolution to look after you skin more?

I love Clinique skincare! I switched back to normal moisturiser for a week and I broke out in spots :( Plus it makes your skin feel so nice!
DeleteI've never used Clinique for anything other than occasionally make-up, I really want to go and have a consultation! I also still need to try the Garnier make up remover because everyone is raving about it but I'm still yet to see how fab it is!
